*I received an ecopy of this book via Edelweiss. I hope the next volume is published soon, because there are quite a few cliffhangers in this volume. I also love how different from other romances their story is, Lucardo and Ed are not the cliched protagonists we see everywhere, and diversity and representation in all media is more important than ever.

I liked that though their obstacles are clear, so is their determination to overcome their difficulties, and unfortunately, things just keep getting worse. The love story and its underlying difficulties continue, Ed is afraid of Lucardo's family, and he feels guilty that he can't make himself truly give up on Lucardo, but their joy of each other is too great. The art is beautiful, as it is in the first volume, although the pages are dark in certain places and not as clear looking, but not enough to be a deterrent from enjoying the book. But the immortal noble isn't ready to give up and continues to search for him, despite his family's clear and present disapproval of his human lover. Picking up right from where the first volume left off, Lucardo is in agony after his elderly lover, Ed, runs away in order to spare Lucardo the pain of losing him to age and disease.
